CATCH-ALL EMAIL CHECKER

Detect catch-all domains before calling an email verified

A catch-all domain can make every plausible address look valid. Ruvio tests a random, made-up mailbox on the same domain and withholds the candidate when the server accepts both.

THE USUAL SHORTCUT

The server accepts the named address, but it also accepts mailboxes that were made up seconds ago.

A result without enough evidence to act confidently
RUVIO

A random control exposes accept-all behavior and keeps the named address out of the usable field.

Clearer evidence. Safer list decisions.

CATCH-ALL EMAIL CHECKER FAQ

What to know about catch-all email domains

Understand the evidence, limits, and next steps before using the result in a customer-prospecting workflow.

Where does Ruvio get email addresses from?

Ruvio does not buy or resell contacts from a third-party lead database. You provide a person's name and company or domain; Ruvio generates a bounded set of likely work-email combinations and tests them against the company's mail system. If the evidence is not strong enough, it does not return a usable email.

What is a catch-all email domain?

It is a domain configured to accept mail for addresses whether or not a specific mailbox is known to exist.

Is a catch-all email valid?

The domain may receive mail, but the response does not prove that the named mailbox exists. Ruvio therefore does not treat it as usable.

Can a catch-all result be resolved later?

Sometimes additional authorized evidence or a later delivery event can add information, but catch-all server behavior alone is not enough.

Does verification give me permission to contact someone?

No. Verification is a technical data-quality signal, not consent or legal permission to send. You remain responsible for the privacy, direct-marketing and anti-spam rules that apply to your location, recipients and campaign, including GDPR or CAN-SPAM where relevant.

TEST THE DOMAIN BEFORE YOU TRUST THE ADDRESS

Keep catch-all uncertainty out of your usable-email field.

Compare the named mailbox with a random control and route accept-all results for research instead of standard outreach.
